Insufferably awkward 20-something.
Lifelong resident of Smalltown, Indiana.

That's all I've got. I'm stereotypically terrible at talking about myself. This small, marvelously lit corner of the Internet is my claim on life. The stories of my crosses & sorrows, joys & celebrations. Read mostly by my grandma and my mom. And you. If you're new here, this is who I am:
  • Daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, sister, friend, student. Beloved. Probably a few other titles. Those are the ones that matter.
  • Seeker of justice, mercy, and humility—all the things Micah 6:8 says are required of me. I'm excellent at failing at all of these. But I think they're the qualities Jesus is going to ask us if we pursued someday. I want to be able to say yes.
  • Wandering soul. Road trip to a wedding one state over? I'm in. A semester abroad in Latin America? Absolutely. School trip to Austria? Sign me up. I live for the adventure.
  • Lover & victim of words. Both sides of the coin are part of the deal. They're masters and monsters, and I try desperately to use them well. Call me on it if I don't.
  • Child of Darkness, turned Child of Light. That's the most important one. Called out of darkness into marvelous light for the glory of the One who created every last living thing. So the words? Are mostly for Him. And the Light & the Glory.
For the most part, I'm stumbling through life whispering "Holy," and praying it's going to lead me in the right direction and end up being enough. Hoping these words go outside the box and take me with them. Journeying to the very ends of the earth, into the bravest spaces, calling out more Light.

Thanks for joining me.
Here's my hand & my heart - just please give them back before you go.
